Loaded & Rolling Raises More Than $28,000 for the Coleman Family

BCS Freight NetworkMay 8, 2026

At the Broker-Carrier Summit Loaded & Rolling Party in Kansas City, the freight community came together to raise more than $28,000 for the Coleman family. The night served as a reminder that beyond the business, freight is still an industry built on people showing up for each other when it matters most.

The Loaded & Rolling Party at the Summit is always a great way to wrap up a Broker-Carrier Summit week and celebrate the new connections made, conversations started, and deals closed throughout the event. This year in Kansas City, though, Loaded & Rolling became something much bigger.

By the end of the night, attendees, sponsors, and members of the freight community had come together to raise more than $28,000 for the Coleman family, whose story has become closely tied to ongoing conversations around safety, accountability, and Dalilah’s Law across the transportation industry.

The Part of Freight People Do Not Always See

Most people outside the industry see trucks, freight, and supply chains. What they don't always see is how connected this industry becomes once you are inside it.

Drivers, brokers, carriers, owner-operators, tech companies, recruiters, and service providers all depend on one another more than people realize. When freight is moving and business is busy, it's easy to stay focused on operations and growth. Nights like this serve as a reminder that the industry is also filled with people willing to step up when someone needs help.

That feeling carried throughout the entire event. People were there to support the Coleman family, but there was also a broader understanding in the room that anyone in this industry could one day need that same kind of support network around them.

Why Community Still Matters in Freight

Freight can wear people down. The hours are long, the pressure rarely stops, and most companies are constantly working through challenges customers never even see. That's why strong relationships matter here in a different way.

Not just partnerships that help move freight, but relationships built on trust, support, and people willing to show up for one another when things get difficult. That sense of community is easy to talk about online, but much harder to build in person. At BCS, it was impossible to miss.

A few things stood out throughout the night:

  • Companies donated without worrying about recognition
  • People who had never met the Coleman family still wanted to help
  • Conversations shifted from business to supporting one another
  • The entire room rallied around a cause bigger than freight itself

More Than Networking and Business Development

The Broker-Carrier Summit has always centered around relationships, but relationships mean more when they extend beyond business.

Anyone can shake hands when freight is moving, and margins are healthy. Community reveals itself when people are struggling, and others decide to step in without hesitation.

That's exactly what happened in Kansas City.

  1. The freight community learned more about the Coleman family’s story
  2. Sponsors, attendees, and industry partners stepped up to contribute
  3. Loaded & Rolling became an opportunity to turn support into action
  4. More than $28,000 was raised through the people in that room

That response says a lot about the type of people this industry is built on.

What the Night Represented

Underneath all the conversations about freight, capacity, and business growth, there was a simple reminder woven throughout the night: none of us gets through this industry alone.

Every broker depends on trusted carriers. Every carrier depends on strong partnerships. Every company eventually faces moments where they need people around them they can rely on.

The Loaded & Rolling Party at the Summit reflected that reality in the best possible way. Competitors, partners, vendors, carriers, brokers, and industry leaders all came together for one purpose: helping a family that needed support.

That has always been at the heart of the Broker-Carrier Summit. Building a community people can lean on when the stakes are high and the road gets difficult.
